Molecular hydrogen (H₂) is the smallest molecule in nature, dissolving into bath water and remaining chemically neutral — no chlorine note, no residue, no change to water colour or feel. Where inhalation delivers hydrogen through a cannula, bathing surrounds the whole body at once, making it a passive ritual rather than a session that has to be managed.

Research interest in molecular hydrogen centres on its behaviour as a small, highly diffusible gas.
