Glossary

The technology, in the language the field uses

The Hydrogen Wellness™ platform sits on top of a decades-old field of electrochemistry. Researchers, clinicians and engineers describe this technology in several different ways — all of them refer to the same underlying process of splitting water into its component gases.

Molecular hydrogen inhalation: The Hydrogen Wellness™ platform delivers high-purity molecular hydrogen (H₂) for inhalation. The oxygen by-product of electrolysis is separated at the membrane and safely vented, so the user breathes H₂ only.
Electrolysis (PEM / SPE): Electrolysis is the underlying physical process — splitting water (H₂O) into hydrogen and oxygen using an electric current. Hydrogen Wellness™ devices use a Solid Polymer Electrolyte (SPE) / Proton Exchange Membrane (PEM) stack, which is the same technology used in industrial green-hydrogen production and aerospace life-support systems.
Molecular hydrogen (H₂): The user-facing output of an Hydrogen Wellness™ inhaler. Molecular hydrogen is the smallest, most diffusible neutral molecule known, and is the active species studied across the peer-reviewed evidence in the Evidence library.
