Glossary
The vocabulary of hydrogen wellness, on one page. Jump to a term:
- Alkaline Electrolysis
An older separation method using an alkaline electrolyte.
Alkaline systems use KOH or NaOH as an electrolyte. They are typically larger, less pure and less suitable for premium residential wellness than PEM.
Related: PEM, Electrolysis
- Architecture
The built context for the ritual.
In the Knowledge Centre, architecture covers residential and commercial specifications: room planning, water and electrical requirements, and integration with existing bathrooms and wellness suites.

- Bath One™
The flagship hydrogen bathing system.
Bath One™ is a residential hydrogen bathing platform designed to bring the home spa ritual into a single, quiet appliance.

- Cannula
The soft nasal tubing used for inhalation.
A nasal cannula delivers hydrogen from the inhaler to the user. Cannulas are consumables and should be replaced periodically for hygiene and comfort.

- Certification
Independent compliance testing.
Certifications such as CE and FCC document that a product has been tested against applicable safety and EMC standards.

- Electrolysis
Splitting water into hydrogen and oxygen with electricity.
A DC current passed through water separates it into H₂ and O₂ at two electrodes. Modern wellness machines use proton-exchange membranes (PEM) for clean separation without added chemicals.
Related: Hydrogen (H₂), PEM, Alkaline Electrolysis
- Flow Rate
How much hydrogen a machine produces per minute.
Measured in millilitres per minute (ml/min). H6 Pro™ delivers 6,000 ml/min total (up to 4,000 ml/min pure H₂); H8 Pro™ delivers 8,400 ml/min total (up to 5,600 ml/min pure H₂).

- H6 Pro™
6,000 ml/min multi-user H2 inhaler.
The H6 Pro™ is a multi-user hydrogen inhaler with a 6,000 ml/min flow rate, dual-cannula output and PEM cell.
Related: Hydrogen Inhalation, PEM · H6 Pro™
- H8 Pro™
8,400 ml/min total-output flagship inhaler.
The H8 Pro™ is the highest-output inhaler in the range, designed for demanding daily routines and multi-user settings.

- Hydrogen (H₂)
The smallest, lightest molecule on the periodic table.
Molecular hydrogen is a colourless, odourless gas composed of two hydrogen atoms. In wellness contexts it is generated on-demand and either inhaled at low concentrations or dissolved into bath water.
Related: Electrolysis, PEM, PPM · The Platform Technology
- Hydrogen Bath Machine
A device that dissolves H₂ into bath water.
A hydrogen bath machine draws water, electrolyses it and disperses molecular hydrogen through the bath so the ritual can be enjoyed at home.

- Hydrogen Inhalation
Breathing in low-concentration hydrogen via cannula.
A dedicated inhaler generates H₂ on-demand and delivers it through a nasal cannula. Typical sessions run 20–60 minutes.
- Luxury Home Spa
The ritual, not just the room.
A composed at-home wellness practice built around ambient light, careful materials, and a consistent bathing or inhalation ritual.

- ORP
Oxidation-reduction potential.
ORP describes how reducing or oxidising a solution is, measured in millivolts. Freshly generated hydrogen-rich water tends toward a strongly negative ORP.
Related: PPM
- PEM
Proton-exchange membrane.
A polymer membrane that lets protons pass while separating hydrogen from oxygen cleanly. PEM cells produce high-purity H₂ without added lye or KOH.
Related: Electrolysis, Alkaline Electrolysis, SPE · PEM Technology Explained
- PPM
Parts per million — concentration.
In hydrogen water, PPM (parts per million) measures dissolved H₂. For inhalation, the useful metric is the flow rate at the cannula, not PPM.
- Purity
How clean the produced hydrogen is.
PEM cells produce medical-adjacent purity H₂ without lye. Purity affects both safety and the experience of a long inhalation session.
Related: PEM
- Ritual
A repeatable, considered practice.
In the Hydrogen Wellness lexicon, a ritual is a deliberate sequence — dimming the room, running the bath, sitting for a session — that turns wellness into a habit.

- SPE
Solid polymer electrolyte.
SPE and PEM are used interchangeably in this space — a solid polymer electrolyte allows proton transport while acting as a barrier between the anode and cathode sides of the cell.
Related: PEM, Electrolysis
- Specification
The documented technical package.
A specification set describes electrical, water, ventilation, footprint and installation requirements for a given machine — used by architects, developers and installers.
